1949 Austin Pathfinder

Modelled on the successful Austin Seven twin-cam racing car of the 1930s, the Pathfinder pedal car was made by Austin for just one year during 1949-’50. About 4000 were made. The original price was £25, and they were sold in Austin car showrooms.

It’s currently on display at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, UK, as part of its Motoring in Miniature – the Toys of Your Childhood exhibition, showcasing more than 800 pedal cars and toy cars.
