1970 Dodge Charger

This numbers matching 1970 Dodge Charger was acquired from the original owner’s son. It required complete restoration, it had been parked next to a barn for decades. 

The body is laser-straight, and has been painted to a show quality, mirror like black finish. Original, restored R2V Air Conditioning. The interior has been fully restored and retains its original classic look with improved sound deadening insulation, PANA leather from Italy and high quality custom carpeting with factory correct materials. Every chrome part has been restored and re-chromed to a mirror finish. Fully rebuilt engine and suspension.

Mythologized by “Bullitt”, and then popularised by “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Blade”, “Death Proof”, “Drive Angry”, and the “Fast and Furious” franchise, the Dodge Charger 1968-70 is the most celebrated muscle car in the world, cool, fast and ferocious. The interior of this car features a fully restored front dash, new dash bezels, new dimmer switch, rechromed original dash knobs, restored heater control knobs, fully restored heater box, all new dash trim, new Tic-Toc-Tach, restored original radio, new door cards, new package tray, seats restored with PANA leather from Italy, high quality custom carpeting with factory correct materials, authentic headliner, sound deadening insulation, restored rear window defroster, new kick panels and new sill plates.

It also has new front power disc brakes, new rear power drums, fully restored 8.25 rear end, Hotchkis Shackle Kit, Hotchkis Pivot Shafts, Hotchkis Tuned 1.5 Street Performance Series Shocks, all new ball joints and bearings, black polyurethane bushes, all parts powder coated, restored and balanced drive shaft, new set of Magnum 500 15×8 wheels and new BF Goodrich tires, front 235/60 rear 255/60.

The body was sandblasted and epoxy primed. It has a new trunk floor, new quarter panels, new valiance panel, new leaf spring mounts, new cross rails, new trunk floor extensions, rechromed all original parts to concours quality, restored and repainted front grille, new open wheel mouldings, new drip rail mouldings, new taillight lenses, rechromed original bezels, new headlights, American Autowire wiring harness, new glass set with original markings (Pentastar), new windshield and rear window mouldings, factory correct maintenance free battery, new fuel and brake lines, new fuel sending unit and restored taillight bodies.

The engine was fully rebuilt with a dual plane intake, Holley Street Avenger 670 CFM carburettor with electric choke, 256 int./262 exhaust camshaft, new 2.5’ TTi dual exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers and a factory 26’ radiator with new core, all mated to a freshly restored A904 transmission.
