Around the world, Porter Press International is renowned for publishing the highest-quality motoring books.

Founded in 2005 by acclaimed automotive author Philip Porter, it is now firmly established as the leading motoring book publisher. The flagship ‘Great Cars’ series has won numerous awards, with subjects including the double Le Mans-winning Ford GT40, Ross Brawn’s Rob Walker Ferrari 250 GT SWB and a very important 250 GTO.

The sister ‘Exceptional Cars’ series is also well-established and includes titles on the first three AC Cobras, an important GT40 and the Ferrari 250 LM that finished third at Le Mans. More recent series include Coachbuilt Cars and the incredible Ultimate series with two-volume titles on Ferrari 250 GTOs, McLaren F1 GTRs and Works Porsche 956s, plus a very wide variety of bespoke titles. A range of special editions is also available from ‘Vintage Porter’, the collector’s section.

The unrivalled Porter Press team includes Senior Editor Mark Hughes, who was Editorial Director of Haynes for 15 years. James Page and Martin Port, former Editor and Art Editor, respectively, of Classic & Sports Car are key members of the team.

The dedicated Porter Press in-house team are based in a restored thatched 16th century barn at Philip’s home of 42 years.
