The Loop Award for The Most Ingenious Car in the Concours Virtual goes to

1963 Rover-BRM Gas Turbine Coupe
Automotive PR and creative agency Loop presented the prize for the Most Ingenious Car to the 1963 Rover-BRM Gas Turbine car of the British Motor Museum. This truly ingenious car was the result of years of work by Rover, which was known as decades as a maker of innovative, high-quality cars. It started with the Rover Jet 1 gas turbine car, through T2, T£ and T4, to the Rover-BRM, powered by a gas-turbine engine mounted in the chassis of Richie Ginther’s crashed 1962 Monaco Grand Prix F1 car. It ran at Le Mans as an Experimental car in 1963 but in 1965 competed in its own right in the 2 Litre class, reaching speeds of over 140mph.
